My approach to therapy is holistic, humanistic and, above all, collaborative, while drawing from several different models (i.e. CBT, DBT, Gestalt, Existential). You may also find me using humor, metaphors, and referencing pop culture throughout our time together. I have been told I have a natural ability to empathize and empower others, which I hope, at the bare minimum, is your experience with me how ever long our journey lasts.
I do my best work with clients who are motivated, exhibit insight and curiosity, are open to feedback, and can engage in self-reflection between sessions. Although I may be considered the expert in the room, you are the expert of your life which leaves me as a guide to assist you in bringing light to the areas you may be overlooking.
I firmly believe that you will see a change in yourself once we establish a safe, secure therapist-client relationship. I do my best to meet you where you are at by following your lead and doing so with patience, understanding, and empathy as we get to know each other. I make it a priority to ensure you feel emotionally safe before we begin to unpack whatever it is you are looking to process and gain from the experience.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, catching up on my favorite shows + podcasts, spending time in nature, cooking, and baking!
